LA Pug Meetup: Where the stars go to mingle

Another spontaneous adventure under our belts. This morning as I casually scanned Instagram I noticed Mean Mug Pug, an adorable underbite famous pug, posted a notice that there is a pug meet up today in Las Angeles for the LA pug meet up group. Who all is coming?

Me!

I looked up the location on my phone and it was only 50 minutes away.

Side note: To a person from LA, 50 minutes is a LONG commute. To someone who grew up in Enumclaw, Washington and had to drive 30 minutes just to find a freeway, this is nothing.

Somehow I was able to convince Tyler to take the trip with the family to the Boneyard Dog Park. Seriously, could I have married a more perfect guy for me? I also convinced Ted to wear his pug t-shirt and Tidus needed no convincing to wear his pug onesie. He just went along with it like a good baby.

As we pulled up across the street from the park my small town jaw dropped open. The park is across the street from Sony Pictures Entertainment! Whaaa?????? So cool!

I kept repeating, this is so cool, this is so cool! Don't you think this is cool Tyler?

In true tourist fashion, took this picture out the car window as we drove by on our way home. Tyler (once again is awesome) drove slow so I could get a good pic of the sign with my phone. When you take a picture with your iPhone it says the location of the picture. This one says "Sony Pictures Studios."

Anyway, the meetup was so much fun. Ted had a blast running around with all the little dogs. Actually, Ted was kind of bummed at first. He wanted to go into the other side of the park with all the big dogs, but when the pugs started stampeding, Ted was in heaven.

At one point Ted started digging in the dirt like a dog and then sat down to play in the dirt. Yes, I realize how gross that sounds given it is a big dirt potty playground for dogs, but I simply don't care. It was adorable and all the pugs came by to show their love for Ted.

I told Tyler to keep a lookout for a pug with a severe underbite. 30 minutes into our time there and just about as Tyler was reaching his pug intake maximum I spotted Ozzy the Mean Mug Pug. Luckily when you go to these things people are constantly taking pictures of everyone else's pugs. Tyler saw a few people capturing snapshots of little Ruby.

This is beneficial, because it means I don't look like a creeper taking pictures of someone else's dog.

She is so stinking cute! Her owner of course noticed me snapping pictures and offered to help get a picture of Ozzy with Ruby. He saw Tidus in his helmet and thought he was a different baby that follows Ozzy on Instagram. I said no but we do follow Mean Mug Pug which is why we came to the park. Later I asked Tyler about 4 times if I came across as a weirdo... he assured me that I did not.

The number one question you are all wondering... no, traffic was not bad. Well, not for us at least. We were in the carpool lane and going against most of the backed up parts.
